We are SO excited to welcome guest barber Kindred Kuts at Open Barbers for the week leading up to UK Black Pride, on Monday 2nd, Thursday 5th and Friday 6th July 2018. Appointments can be booked through our online booking system.
Services
provided by Kindred Kuts include: haircuts on all types of hair, beard
trims, clipper cuts and head shaves (all 45 minutes), and transformative
cuts (90 minutes).
Kindred Kuts is led by Gray (she / her / bro) who has 9 months
professional experience as a barber. Kindred Kuts is based in Amsterdam,
Netherlands aiming to provide a
comfortable, warm and positive environment for all clients,
especially for LGBTQIA folk and their friends.
Here’s a statement from Gray:
“I
first got into barbering in August 2017. I really wanted to be a barber
based on my own experiences of visiting barbershops and the misogyny
queer friends often experienced. I have been a barber for a short space
of time and have discovered a natural ability, learning at one of the
best barbershops in Europe. I’m a designer so I put that creativity and
attention into every haircut and have fun while doing it! The vision I
have is to grow my brand, KindredKuts and open a chain of LGBTQ friendly
safe-space barbershops for POC and their friends globally.“
