On Saturday 14th September, Open Barbers will be hosting an accessible and gentle social opportunity for trans, intersex and non binary people + friends and allies to hang out together.

The event, from 2 – 6pm, will include a limited number of drop in haircuts by our stylists Greygory, Leidy and Tass and will be on a first come first basis on the day. A chance for us to trial how well this works!

The salon is level access with limited seating for around 20 people comfortably, or more if we stand or squidge up! There is an accessible toilet kettle and tea, coffee and biscuits provided. Visitors are welcome to bring their own food, games and activities, alongside the salon’s existing collection of zines, books and a few games.

We’d like to offer this space as a low key social occasion for anyone wishing to celebrate Trans Pride, as the day marks the first Trans + Pride march and gathering in Central London. We wish anyone who attends this march and event a safe and powerful day of solidarity, and welcome anyone who wishes to visit us as an alternative quieter space on the day.
