Living can be a challenge. If you are seeking to reflect on and clarify the situation you find yourself in, and how you are living your life, it can be helpful to have a therapist alongside you to support you in your exploration.

I am Noemi Lakmaier, a registered (MBACP) psychotherapist and work with adults from all walks of life, all genders and sexual diversities. I am very excited to be bringing my practice to Open Barbers, where I will have availability to see clients every Monday afternoon and evening from early October.

I made the decision to train as a psychotherapist at Regent’s University, London, after experiencing a number of challenging events in my personal life. I originally come from a visual and performance art background which I continue to pursue alongside my therapy practice.

I have been practicing as a psychotherapist for several years, working with clients seeking therapy for a
diverse range of issues. I am now undertaking further training via an Advanced Diploma in Existential Psychotherapy. I worked at Metro Centre in their targeted LGBTQ+ counselling service, and am currently an honorary therapist at the Terrence Higgins Trust and at CASA Alcohol Service. I also have many years experience of working as a mentor within Disability Arts settings.

Identifying as a disabled, bisexual woman and an immigrant to the UK, I have a particular interest in the
minority experience, gender, sexuality, disability and identity. I am a LGBTQ+ affirmative, as well as kink- and poly aware therapist.

I offer the initial session at £40. For on-going sessions 50 minute sessions thereafter I charge between £50 and £80 per session. This sliding scale is dependant on income.
